Founder Chairman / Director

 

Simanta Das is the Founder Chairman of Ayursundra. His special interests are Mergers and Acquisitions (Buy and Sell side), new business model development and execution, developing Sustainable businesses, large Scale (transformation), program management and Organizational Development. He was formerly Global Head-Healthcare Innovation Group, Investment Banking at ABN AMRO.He is an alumnus of MIT Sloan School of Management, Amsterdam Institute of Finance, Michigan State University Royal Holloway, University of London and also a member of CERN, Switzerland, SLAC and Stanford.

 

 

 

DR. ABHIJIT HAZARIKA
Chief Executive Officer / Director

Abhijit Hazarika, a trained gastro intestinal Surgeon, has more than 15 years of experience in running Trauma / Surgery units and management of hospital and healthcare professionals in one of the biggest corporate Super Specialty Centre in the North East.He was part of the core team which developed the first integrated ambulance services in North East India.

Lakshi Baishya, an entrepreneur and passionate about giving every individual a right to their future, in their own terms. He is from one of the most respected business families of Assam.

 

 




JOHN RAINE
Chief Finance Officer

 

John has worked in various senior management roles in the Finance function in ABN AMRO, starting initially in London, then moving on to work as CFO/COO in a number of locations within the ABN AMRO international Banking network. John was Head of Management Information within ABN AMRO Group and then Head of Finance for the Business Unit Private Clients/New Growth Markets. Maintaining controls while implementing change in the Finance function has been the common element of all of John’s previous financial positions and it is this that will be his two main priorities for the Ayursundra.

 

 

 
DR. HIMADRI BARTHAKUR
Medical Director

 

Dr. Barthakur is a referral physician of repute in the North East. He is currently associated as a Consultant Internist with the International Hospital, a premier medical institution of the region. Dr. Barthakur has had a brilliant academic career. He did his MD in Medicine from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College He is a qualified ACLS provider certified by the American Heart Association.

 

 
DR. MITAM BAROOAH
Medical Director

 

Dr. Barooah is presently a consultant in Emergency Medicine at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust, Birmingham. Mitam wants to come back to his home state and help develop a robust and structured emergency service which would revolutionize the concept of emergency medicine in North East India.Mitam is responsible for clinical governance, quality, patient safety and the medical processes within Ayursundra.
